Virat Kohli's cryptic social media post was a big reply to speculations about his ODI future ahead of the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia, starting on October 19. The 36-year-old, who has already retired from Test and T20Is, last played an international match during India's title-winning run Champions Trophy 2025 tournament. However, one persistent question remains from experts and fans - whether Kohli will play the ODI World Cup 2027 event, considering age will not be by his side by the time the ODI World Cup is played.
Some experts feel that with the RCB batter playing just the one format, his future ahead of the showpiece event is might be doubtful.
