Multan Sultans (MS) will battle it out with Islamabad United (IU) in match number 13 of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) season. The Sultans have had a horrendous start to the 10th edition of PSL, as they have lost three games on the bounce. However, there was something to cheer for the franchise as they finally got a win against Lahore Qalandars in their fourth game on April 22. Speaking about the United, they are yet to face a defeat in the four games that they have played.
The Shadab Khan-led side has looked solid with bat and ball and has managed to play as a unit. The defending champions are yet again proving their class and also are showing why they are the most successful franchise in PSL's history.

The Sultans will be relieved by getting a win against their name after three heavy losses. With the first half of PSL almost coming to an end, the Mohammad Rizwan-led Sultans will need to carry the momentum that they got by beating the Qalandars. Batting has been a major concern for MS, as they have been bundled out on two occasions to sub-par totals while chasing targets above 200 runs.
After scoring a century in the first game against the Karachi Kings (KRK), Mohammad Rizwan has not scored in the Sultans' next three games. Also, the bowlers have looked mediocre despite boasting the pace attack of David Willey, Joshua Little, and Ubaid Shah.
On the other hand, the United have had several players step up in crucial moments of the game. Batting has looked top-notch with Sahibzada Farhan, Colin Munro, and Salman Agha among the runs. In the bowling department, Jason Holder has led the charge with 11 wickets to his name in four matches. The United have also had an advantage going to this contest as they beat Sultan 47 runs on April 16 in this year's PSL.
